Grow Strong – Bichhya

Project objectives

  1. Empower 100 mothers with kitchen garden knowledge and support with vegetable seeds and materials to grow more to feed their families more nutritious food, improving health outcomes, reducing malnutrition, particularly in children under 5 years of age.
  2. Approximately 100 mothers are expected to give birth annually, and an estimated 20–30 children experience malnutrition each year in Bichhya and nearby Rugin, so we will focus the agricultural empowerment efforts with the most vulnerable mothers with the most malnourished children to support them to achieve healthy development for their age.
  3. Reduction in short-term malnutrition to improve long-term outcomes.

July 26 – We are pleased to report that we are working with 140 women, training has been given and resources distributed.
