Rebuilding Communities Project: Virtual Event
9 Nov 21
In 2016, PHASE Worldwide and PHASE Nepal started a five-year project aimed at rebuilding communities in Gorkha, following the devastating 2015 earthquakes. After the earthquakes, people living in the area faced extreme challenges and lacked opportunities for the future, but with support from the Big Lottery Foundation, PHASE has been able to directly support over 6,000 people and sustainability improve healthcare, education, and livelihoods.
Join us on Tuesday 9th of November between 11:00 – 12:00 UK to find out more about the key themes and successes of the project, as well as the challenges faced along the way due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The one-hour virtual event will involve a presentation by Bikash Koirala, PHASE Nepal Project Manager and Tom Edwards, PHASE Worldwide Director, who will provide an in-depth review of the impact made in Gorkha over the past five years. Supporters will be invited to take part in a Q&A session, where they will have the opportunity to speak with both Bikash and Tom about this exciting project and how it will continue to support communities in Gorkha for many years to come. We look forward to seeing you there.
